Avatar Utopia

The longing for utopia, for a place of community and connection, is so strong that some people who found their perfect world in the blockbuster film “Avatar” are struggling now to cope with the blandness of their actual lives:

That is so sad – the way the world tends to “gray” as one person said in the article – when we have nothing to hope in – when we can’t see the truth of our lives. I find that our world really and truly IS gorgeous – amazing – filled with interesting quirks and endlessly stocked with new things to think about! I loved Avatar – just because it showed the beauty of the human imagination – we think up the most splendid places! Whatever we can imagine – the reality of our OWN world is much more splendid. Much more splendid.
