Time.com highlights some of the best inventions of 2009. So many times we as Americans are quick to speak of the many problems that exist in this country. However, inventors and innovators are people who see a problem and provide practical solutions to those problems. This week we’d like to highlight Inventions and Innovators in hopes that we all become problem solvers.

I once had a wise friend tell me, “if you see a problem somewhere, always ask yourself what you would do to change it or to solve it.” It reminded me that it’s really easy to be part of the problem, but it’s hard to be part of the solution. A cliche’ line, but it is quite appropriate! I want to be part of the solution! Now, how do I do that?
